Getting started with Bezzie involves a simple, four-step process that’s very easy to work through. It enables you to create a tailored diet plan for your dog, and its recipes are built around high-quality ingredients. They are designed to provide adequate minerals, vitamins, and other nutrients for your pet.
The steps involved with creating a new account and placing your first order include the below:
When you create a new account, you will be asked for some information about your “bezzie” (dog). Details such as your dog’s weight, age, activity level, breed, and sex enable Bezzie’s system to create a tailored nutrition plan. This process is simple and shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes to complete.
Once you’ve filled out your pet’s profile, you will be taken to a page that suggests a diet for them. By default, this includes a mix of 50% wet food and 50% dry food. However, you can adjust this as required. Dry food is significantly cheaper, which makes it a better option for those on a tight budget.
In addition, you can select which flavors you want. Parent to a fussy doggo that won’t eat seafood? Simply deselect the salmon bites option to receive an equal mix of pork, lamb, and chicken bits.
Your first Bezzie box forms part of a two-week trial. There’s a 70% discount available on your first order, enabling you to test the service without spending much. If you decide to go ahead with Bezzie, boxes are sent out once every four weeks.
One thing we love about Bezzie is that it enables you to customize your subscription at any point. If you find your pet is gaining weight, simply order slightly fewer calories. Losing weight? Order more. Doesn’t like a particular flavor? Stop receiving it.
Bezzie offers a selection of wet and dry foods, which it labels nosh and bites. It only sells dog food at the moment, but it plans to introduce a line for cats in the near future. All Bezzie products are professionally formulated using high-quality, responsibly sourced ingredients such as lamb, beef, and fresh vegetables. Unlike some of the generic dog food brands on the market, Bezzie never uses low-nutrition filler ingredients to bulk out its products.
All food comes in sealed packages with a long shelf-life. A full nutrition profile is available on each product’s packaging and on the company website. You can also head to the recipes page on the company website to discover exactly what ingredients are included in each product.
Bezzie openly advertises the fact that all of its recipes are lightly cooked to ensure they maintain their flavor and nutritional benefits. All recipes meet AAFCO standards, along with USDA standards for human consumption—in theory, all Bezzie products are safe for you to share with your furbaby if you’re so inclined!
Bezzie’s wet food range (nosh) includes:
- Chicken nosh, featuring fresh cage-free chicken, carrots, and peas.
- Beef nosh, featuring beef, sweet potato, and spinach.
The dry food (bites) range is a little larger, including:
- Salmon bites, featuring salmon, lentils, peas, and a blend of fruits and vegetables.
- Pork bites featuring pork, a selection of grains, and a blend of fruits and vegetables.
- Lamb bites, including lamb, peas, lentils, and a blend of fruits and vegetables.
- Chicken bites, including chicken, a selection of grains, and a blend of fruits and vegetables.
Bezzie does plan on releasing additional products in the future, so keep an eye on the company website!
Bezzie only offers dry food (bites) and wet food (nosh) for dogs. Additional products such as treats or toys aren’t available.
Bezzie’s prices vary according to your dog’s size, age, breed, activity level, and other factors. The company’s pricing page estimates that you will pay $10.05 per week for a small dog (~10lb), $25.30 per week for a medium-sized dog (~40lb), and $39.25 per week for a large dog (~70lb).
When you sign up for a new account, you will be asked for information about your dog. Using this information, Bezzie will create a custom plan for your needs. We worked through the process, and the estimated weekly price for a 30lb, moderately active, 4-year-old dog of unknown breed was $20.65 per week.
But it gets a little more complicated than this. $20.65 per week will get you a 50/50 mix of wet and dry food. If you decide to go for 100% bites, this drops to just $5.63 per week. Or, go for 100% wet food for $33.80 per week. Shipping costs $9.99 per delivery, and boxes are sent out every 4 weeks. There’s a 70% discount and free shipping on your first order (two weeks worth of food).
Currently, the only way to contact the Bezzie team is via email (firstname.lastname@example.org). However, the company does state that live chat and phone support are coming soon. There’s a large number of FAQs available on a dedicated page. These deal with everything from shipping and payments to info about the company’s pet food offerings, so it’s definitely worth having a look.
“Chloe devoured her food! Lamb bites and beef nosh down the hatch. She is picky too!”
“She left her old kibble...and gobbled up the salmon bites! #spoileddoodle”
“Rey has been picky about food practically his whole life. But he gobbles his bezzie bowls down in seconds :) Makes me so happy to see him excited about food.”
Despite being a newcomer to the dog food subscription box market, Bezzie already brings it to the industry leaders. The company takes pride in its high-quality, sustainably sourced ingredients, carefully tailored recipes, and use of fresh fruit and vegetables.
In addition, you will be helped to develop a custom diet plan for your dog when you’re signing up for a new account. Food boxes are sent out once every four weeks, and prices are more than fair. We’d suggest checking out Bezzie’s website if you’re looking for a dog food subscription box.
